Wiring in a rad fan

Postby matttheodore » Mon 6th Dec 2010, 12:24am

Please can some electrically gifted person draw me a wiring diagramme to install an aux rad fan. I have a basic 22mm 2 way switch fitted in my radiator. I would also like a web link to a suitable relay if possible?
Many thanks
Matt

It's a Diode from Maplins, http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=19079&OrderCode=QL73Q quite expensive at 22p each

You need to attach it so the silver band end goes to pin 86 on the relay.
Saying that it is optional, I put one in the circuit to stop any back emf from arcing across the switch.

The relay is called a 12V- 40A SPNO Automotive Relay http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=37526 £2.89
