Mot with fibreglass front

Postby Aaron3 » Mon 29th Jan 2018, 09:50pm

I know this is a dreaded story that been brought up on numerous occasions but here it goes, the usual garage that I have been going to for many years didn’t want to mot my car as it has a fibreglass front, it does have brace bars and a solid mounted subframe. I know some folks on here have got an mot with no problems.
Is there anything I can do or say to change his mind? He is saying the structural integrity has gone with removing the front panel and inner wings which to me flap about in the wind anyway unless bolted up at the front.
At the worst does anyone know of a mini friendly garage near wigan?
Any help, tips, advice and suggestions would be very much appreciated.
I just want my car on the road!
