Big thanks to all who attended yesterday, we had an awesome day with 211 cars counted and hopefully we've rasied nearly £2000 for cancer research! MASSIVE thanks to Mini Sport for sponsoring the event and helping us get the plaques produced, with out them we wouldn't have been able to do it. Also thanks to the leg leaders for convoying the minis to Preston.

Now without wanting to put a downer on the result of the money raised and the high I get after seeing all the minis lined up, I'd just like to point out that this may be the last year of the event as the minority of people are ruining it for us organisers with negative comments and ridiculous attitudes towards sponsors and volunteers. The whole event is supposed to be FUN and being aggresive towards me, other organisers and my family (who help park up the cars) is getting too much. If people think they can organise it better then please feel free to take over.

Its the whole reason i have stopped doing stuff, had the same problem on the 5Hit the other year, we ran the same format we have always done yet there were moans and hassle.

I only get involved in stuff for/with my friends now i can not be arsed with the masses

I've organised loads of events and at every one there are always a few whingers and moaners who are quick to criticise but disappear when some work needs doing, Some people just enjoy moaning!

Yesterday was a well organised, cracking day out and the vast majority of us had a good time and a few good laughs. It's inevitable that some things won't go exactly as planned but that is part of the fun.

As for the few people who had problems finding the route on their sat nav there is an easy solution - Throw it in the bin and buy a bloody map!

Keep up the good work Tom and everyone else who helped organise the run. The work you put in is very much appreciated.

I would just like to say a few words thanking you and all that helped out with yesterdays Blackpool run,Im pretty sure that this years run was the 4th run that we as a club attended the run (crewes missiles) and have to say that it was a much fun and it was as well organised as the other runs in the past years WELL DONE TO ALL !!!
I understand how hard it is to organise such events and I praise you for such and awesome job you all did yesterday.
Ive just read your comment on the forum regards somebodys comments towards yourself and others,This really shocked me as the run was awesome,the waether was fantastic and all for charity what on earth did folks find to moan about ???...some folks are really weird

as already said tom some people just like moaning, you guys do a fantastic job and it's easily the best run event i've been to.

one suggestion would be to make it clear on the website that the donation is purely for charity and does not pay for anything to do with the run, the plaques were provided by the sponsor and the time of you guys (not just on the day) was provided for free! not to mention a days free parking in blackpool.

It's pretty much the same rhubarb you get with forums, we've had a lot of it over the years but people like that aint worth wasting your breath on!

I'd happilly take a more involved role with the running of it even if that means dealing with nobbers on the day
