Hi, I’m Daren from Manchester and I own a 1989 Mini City E in Hellrot orange. I know I have the 1275 A series engine but how do I tell if it’s the A or the A+?? Thanks

Hello,
Welcome to Minifinity, I think that's an A+ as they stopped making A(-) quite early on. If you can see behind the exhaust manifold, you should be able to see that there are no covers where the pushrods go up and down as they cast the block complete instead. I think the alternator bracket is different too.

Basically the difference between engine block 1 or 2 on this drawing:

Thanks for that, I’ve since found out that the distributor fits to the block with a v shaped bracket on the A+ engine and therefore takes the 65D distributor which mine has.
